Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

NitiPath ("the App", "we", "us") is a Vedic decision-timing app published by qooq.jp. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, where it is stored, and what rights you have over it.

2. What we collect

NitiPath stores the following information that you provide:

Birth date, birth time, and birth place — required to compute your kundli and timing scores.
Birth-time precision flag (exact / 30 minutes / 2 hours / unknown) so that confidence can be weighted correctly.
Analyses you generate (event type, scores, reasoning, dates) and bookmarks/history within the App.
Authentication identifiers — for anonymous sign-in this is a per-device token; for Phone, Google or Apple sign-in this is the linked account ID.
Subscription and purchase status (managed by Apple App Store; we receive only the entitlement state).

This information is required to compute your personalised timing reports and is used only for that purpose.

3. What we do not collect

Your real name, postal address, or government ID.
Payment card numbers — all purchases are handled by the Apple App Store.
Location of your device beyond the birth place you choose.
Photos, contacts, or microphone data.

4. Where it is stored

Your birth profile and analyses are stored in a private Firestore document under your account, accessible only to you. Anonymous accounts use a per-device identifier; signing in with Phone, Google, or Apple links the same data to that account so your history persists across devices.

5. AI follow-up

When you use the AI follow-up feature, the analysis context (event type, scores, time windows) and your message are sent to OpenAI for response generation. We do not send your name, email, or birth time. OpenAI may retain the request as described in their data usage policy.

6. Third-party services

NitiPath uses the following services. Each receives only the minimum data required for that feature.

Firebase Authentication — sign-in (anonymous, Google, Apple, Phone OTP).
Firebase Firestore — your private profile and analyses.
Firebase Cloud Functions — kundli, panchang, scoring, and content generation.
Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics — anonymised crash reports and usage metrics.
OpenAI — the GPT-5.1 Responses API for personal narratives, remedies, AI follow-up, and "Why this score?" explanations.
Open-Meteo Geocoding — used only for the city search field when you set your birth place.
Apple App Store — purchase processing and subscription management.

7. Notifications

Local notifications (festival eves, today's best window, reminders) are scheduled on your device and do not require a server. Push notifications, if used, are delivered via Apple Push Notification service.

8. Children

NitiPath is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

9. Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and analyses from our servers. You may also request a copy of your data by contacting us.

NitiPath provides timing guidance for planning purposes. It is not a substitute for professional advice. We do not give medical, legal, or financial advice.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves. Material changes will be announced inside the App.
